A lot of conservative Christians seem to think they are an oppressed minority that needs to be protected. They complain that so many Farkers appear to be a tad annoyed with 'Farkers of faith', or with Christians in general. So I tell you what- I'll make you a deal. Arrange it so that all Christians in America stop doing the following: Pretending that the U.S. is a Christian nation in any "official" sense. Pretending that the U.S. was founded as a Christian nation in any "official" sense. Trying to teach creationism in public schools. Trying to break down the wall of separation between church and state. Trying to legislate and legitimize anti-gay discrimination. Trying to control the reproductive rights of other people. Attacking stem cell research and science in general. Acting as if treating you like anything other than the ruling class, to the exclusion of all others, is "oppression" (i.e. the "War on Christmas"). You manage to arrange all that, and you'll never hear me speak in anger against Christians again. Otherwise, if you hear me complain, it's because I've got good reasons to. Note that all of the above actions are things that Christians could do without in ANY WAY comprimising their own ability to live good Christian lives for themselves.
